Artist Statement

In my sustained investigations I focused less on the broader spectrum of the world I created rather than the individual characters. Oftentimes in stories,  the foundations of the environment and story becomes easier to ignore and miss when focusing on a single character or small group of characters. As a visual person with ADHD I find small details and bold colors to be the most interesting part of any media. I used a multitude of materials but attempted to stick to only two materials per piece, with one material incorporating a 3D element. The reasoning behind the use of multiple elements is mostly due to my hyperfixations on whatever material I found the most interesting at the moment. Each investigation was mostly driven by emotions or events that I was feeling at that point in time. Furthermore, with my pieces I wanted to convey not only the way I process reality but also the roots of my imagination and unique perspective.
